Where We Become Home

Home is not always a place.

Sometimes it is a memory, a relationship, a color, or a feeling we carry with us.

Through painting, sculpture, and recurring circular forms, June Yun explores how unfamiliar places gradually become home.

Under the larger theme Message in a Bottle, her work reflects on belonging, migration, memory, and the invisible connections that shape our lives.

Born in South Korea and based in the Washington DC area, June Yun is an Artist in residence at Torpedo Factory Art Center in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia.
